Designed by Alain Carle Architecte and built by Modulor, this project marks the transformation of an old boutique into office spaces. One of the main challenges was to deal with the commercial character of the street and the private aspect of the office sought by clients altogether.
The workspaces are organized around the existing structures of the building and are delimited by glass partitions and masonry volumes. Randomly placed skylights, tall white curtains, and linen filters applied to the glass partitions give an intimate yet bright character to the spaces. On the basement level, a double-height space was created so that it too can benefit from natural light.
